And Resting Early
Good sleep and resting early,
Two things we take for granted,
Life though can make one busy,
I understand the two may not be attainable,
But when it is possible,
All kinds of good emerge,
I sit here and ponder the same,
In all earnest this life is a paradox,
Maybe the two will heal,
But what about the other struggles?
Contained in this pursuit of happiness,
Or money for that matter,
Joy eludes and escapes one’s grasp,
To get money is to attain freedom,
From condemnation structured by humanity,
For humanity to kill humanity,
Yet sharing seems like a selfish thing,
A step up to freedom as it seems,
That shackles the heart to this plane,
The material life that has an end,
All life returns to dust,
So stand up and pick my pursuits.
