In all things I'm grateful and contrite,

Life can end at any particular point,

Alas I use the old words,

The prevalent misconception of what I mean,

Three sets of flowers I see,

One I bought and the other a gift,

Last night I slept with today's ideas,

Tomorrow's plans and yesterday's regrets,

Looking up and forward to this,

In the right frame and picture setting,

Holding court between these two worlds,

Staring at the day ahead,

It feels great in this new space,

Every time I wonder why I,

These bouts of silence,

Always appearing every weekend,

Rallying behind this big dream,

I look up and want to make a difference,
