Love looks at me with pain,

I wonder what I did to it,

In this new day, Where everything aches,

I'm glad I started and kept at it,

The words never cease,

A full spring exists within my soul,

Reflections are the way to grow,

Criticism strengthens our survival instincts,

A deep breath is all I need,

To shake it off and bring it back,

I am awake in the middle of the night,

My breathing is quiet as I type this,

This time of day is so peaceful,
