To Understand Life

In my advent to understand life,

I've made a try at the important,

Maybe not so bold in some areas,

But a start that holds water,

A life that is not fearful,

But also not as bold as I can,

Caution was ingrained in me,

These choices all stem from it,

I look within and gather my soul,

A piece that has been through the most,

Yet I stand in this cross road of life,

And wish myself the best life I can,

Ever daring and resilient,

Fear not withstanding,

Crossroads and enemy figures,

Shadows and wraiths,

Never a moment of peace,

Battle after battle fought,

Muscle after muscle built,

Grounded in my present form,

Living in the midst of war.
