Old and New Tales

Old and new tales are told,

Of dwindling resources and desperate folks,

With gifted tempers and inflamed ideas,

All done to create a crisis,

A way of thinking mind holds,

Much pain and no recourse,

Yes at times unreasonability is called for,

Especially in wars that involve ideals,

I reminisce to happier times,

Or rightly when survival was all I knew,

I sit this one out,

As my soul has the scars to bear.
