Endeavours to Date

In all my endeavours to date,

At times I want to be the main lead in the game,

But this presents insecurities from my past,

Ideas and notions that are now beliefs,

Things that make and break me down,

They remind me that life has twists,

So today I'll be the pawn support or villain,

Yet tomorrow the very hero I desire,

I've learnt to give and take,

To let life be as it moves.
